STEP 15 - HEAD TENSION

broken image

HEAD TENSION affects people at any age, but women, in particular, often notice a link between hormonal changes and head tension.

In the menstrual cycle, estrogen and progesterone are regulated by the brain; but at certain times in the cycle, these hormones may not be in balance—one may be much higher than the other.

As hormones fluctuate in perimenopause, the drop in progesterone levels can cause estrogen levels to be HIGHER at certain times. This can lead to head tension from an estrogen buildup.

In menopause, however, head tension may occur due to LOWER estrogen levels.

Other factors related to the incidence of head tension are stress, dehydration, blood sugar, and blood pressure, among others. Below are Essential Oils that can help when head tension occurs:

• Frankincense

• Copaiba

• Lavender

• Peppermint

• Siberian Fir

• Tension Blend

Often called the “King of Oils,” FRANKINCENSE is renowned as one of the most prized and precious Essential Oils, and has extraordinary health benefits.* Its soothing and beautifying properties can support skin health and help reduce the appearance of imperfections. When inhaled or diffused, Frankincense supports feelings of peace, relaxation, satisfaction, and overall wellness.
